Hi Steve:

___I have no idea what is going to be used next but Honda is playing with IMA in the 4 WD setups of the RDX and possibly SH-AWD setups of a future RL/GL. I think you know where they are heading with this … RWD off the pack and FWD off the pack and ICE. Pack propulsion alone driven from the rears. I think Honda is still keeping Hybrid costs down somewhat by using smallish Ni-MH packs. I can just imagine what the actual cost of a Prius II pack is vs. an Insight, Civic Hybrid, or Accord Hybrid pack given the ~ 4 - 6X larger capacity.

___Good Luck

Wayne,
The pack on RWD and ICE plus pack of FWD seems to be an industry standard if that is what Honda will do. The Toyota system (though it does use the power split device in place of a trans) runs the same way w/ the AWD option on the Highlander/RX400H.
Cheers,
Steven

Hi All:

___I was watching FOX tonight and saw a 15 or so second spot for the Accord Hybrid. All I saw was the last 5 seconds with a side view pic and the 30/37 EPA estimate as an overlay. Anyone else see it?
