Default Navi & XM

When the Navi screen is on XM, there's a button on the bottom left that says Mode. Touching that button makes the display change from CH to CAT. What does that do? I don't see it affecting anything other than the display changing between those two settings.

Maybe the effects are right under my nose and I'm just not seeing it.

I finally figured it out. Ch means when you scan it'll scan each channel. Cat means when you scan, it'll only scan all the channels under that category (country, classical, news...).

Yeah, well if figured it out a while ago. But I came across this old thread and thought I'd answer my own question since no one else posted the answer. I suppose if there weren't any replies, maybe nobody else knew.

The owner's manual doesn't talk about this function at all. It took some playing around to figure it out.

Keith,

One of these days someone is going to ask about that very thing and here it is.
