I just got the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring. I heard that Honda was supposed to install the Siri Eyes Free technology to their 2014 model line up but mine does not have it installed. Is Siri Eyes Free a dealer installed option? How much is it to have installed? Anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks

 

I've got the same problem when I was buying they had no idea what it was. They keep saying it was a ford thing. I called Honda support the lady had no idea either. Schedule an appt with dealer service to see what they can do?? Did you have any luck getting it installed?

Were you able to get intalled in your accord. I've called my local honda where I purchase the vehicle. No one knows what I'm talking about. Accessories department keeps saying it's a service thing and service keeps saying a part thing. Honda support people have no idea what Siri is and are unware of anyt integration. Feeling frustrated how uneducated on there own service this people are. If anyone got it installed how did you get them to do it.

I have serviced my 2014 HAH twice and have 10,000 miles on it. The dealer still says that Siri Eyes free is still not compatible with the car. Why is this, when the 2013 regular Accord is able to be updated? Has anyone been able to get this software update for the 2014 HAH?

 

Ok, here's the update. I just finished having my 2014 HAH serviced at 15,000 miles and I once again asked to have Siri Eyes Free loaded on to my car. To my surprise, when I got my car back from service the advisor said it was loaded successfully! I tried it out and it works great. Just make sure to have the radio switched "ON". You just have to hold down the "Hands Free Voice" button on the steering wheel until you hear the beep of Siri being activated. That's it. Also the dealer did not charge me for the software update. Good luck.

 

Just asked my dealer for the update. 11k miles, first service.

 

Dealers want $130 to install the Siri software.
Too bad.

 

Not sure what SIRI Eyes is, but don't like limited SiriusXM station selections, so I let my intro period lapse.
Questions are for my 2015 HAH-EXL:


Can the preloaded apps be edited/removed? Can I DIY, or need dealer to modify?
Can I add Spotify (or similar) without linking to my phone & data plan?
Can the info screens be adjusted to provide more info? (default scrolling to see the artist or title is crazy for a screen that size!). Also to get rid of that annoying warning message when I start the car.
