Discuss Portal? - GreenHybrid

I'm considering installing a hack to the forum software to turn the main Discuss page into a portal display. Please see http://www.vbadvanced.com/

Of course, you can still access the forums. It's just another way of presenting the community. Yay or nay?

I have always liked the "portal" concept for sites like greenhybrid. Seems like the right mix and organization of info.
