Lightbulb GH new logo

We've been testing out a couple different things with the logo, and we've finally decided on a new image:

Look for it in the next few days. Thanks!

Looks kind of like a Chinese knockoff of the Hybridfest logo. Similar colors, leaf slightly different, and on the wrong side.

Makes me think GreenHybrid is going to break a week after I buy it.

It reminds me of the flex fuel logo/the ford hybrid logo, with the road and the leaf. I like it.

It does a look like a KO of the Hybridfest Logo. Personally, I don't care too much for it, it doesn't flow real well. Maybe if the stem from the leaf connected to the top round part of the G it would look better, but right now it looks like the leaf is stuck there just because of the number of leaf logos that are used and this one follows suit.

True, True...I agree, however it sounds like it's too late to change it!

Well, the brakes were pushed on this one. There'll be a revision.

I didn't like it, anyway

Yeah, the leaf at the beginning seems to stop the flow of reading it.
It's like I have to take in the leaf first ... then I can move on to actually reading the site name. Interesting.

Good luck redesigning it. It's amazing how much time can be spent on what seems like should be an easy thing. I know that from experience.

I like the new logo, and disagree that it is too similar to the Hybrid Fest logo. However, I also see the point that it is slightly disruptive to the eye going from the leaf to the name. Here is an idea you might want to struggle with... If the leaf stem/center road stripe were to curve around the bottom of the leaf and start up the right side, take a right turn and push into the edge of the leaf, then the leaf could be the "G" in GREENHYBRID entirely. You would probably want to maintain some white space where the end of the "G" cuts into the leaf. You might also want to slant the leaf (which is now very vertical) overall to match the slat of the rest of the letters.

On the other hand, this could turn out to be very corny! I also know how very difficult it is to make a logo work out well.
