There has been some discussions on the boards of an alternate signature system. While the running lifetime signature is nice, perhaps a less comprehensive signature would be preferable for some members.

For example, you could have the current signature, let's call that Signature A.

Then, you could have a signature B, that says, "Over the last five tanks, I've averaged X MPG over X miles."

And a signature C that says: "Since achieving X miles, I've averaged X MPG."

Barring all that, any chance for an update on the current signature to distinguish 4WD hybrids from FWD hybrids?

I think the purpose of the signatures is mostly as a simple link to one's car page or to get people "interested". If they want the most detailed information, I think it's best displayed on the appropriate webpage.

As far as multiple signatures saying essentially the same thing, I'm not sure that it would have much purpose…
