Default In Progress: New PROMOTE Section?

I have started creating the new Promote section, which will replace the old (unused) Link section. It will contain various suggestions abotu how to spread the word about hybrids. I may have a basic page up by tonight, but hope to expand this section very soon.

Okay, well I pretty much finished the page I've been working on. However, I've realized that this cannot be an entire section. There simply isn't enough content. I would, however, like to make this into a subpage somewhere.

I'm going to need suggestions about what to do with the red section.

Hi Jason:

___As far as promoting, you are watching the total members, right? Just 12 more to go before you hit the magic 1K! Take a look at the new threads and those being replied to. It was not long ago where 3 - 5 threads a day were being created or replied too. Lately, I am seeing upwards of 20 with a 15 - 20 hour hiatus.

___The next item we will begin to see is rising AH and Escape HEV mileage stats as it warms up as well as new members with them over the next few weeks. It is hard to get excited about a performance sedan or small SUV achieving 25 - 30 mpg but when these two begin hitting in the low 40’s, the Prius II and HCH’ers begin hitting the high 50’s - mid 60’s, and the Insight’ers come out of the woodwork with their 100 + mpg tanks, your site is going to wake up like a bunch of youngsters on Christmas morning!

___I hope you are excited because I am

___Another item … Take a gander at the Driveaccord.net forums. In particular, take note of the different Accord jpg’s that appear in the upper right corner at each page load. It would be great to see Greenhybrid do the same with various hybrid models and/or angles of them given you are both using the very latest forum SW. It appears to be a simple SW switch and a source for the jpg’s is all.

___Finally, is there anyway to view just those automobiles that have had their tanks uploaded in the last 24 hours? I am on dial up and it is a SOB to wait for the entire list to load when I do my bi-daily check of the RHMDB. I have asked about this feature in the past and maybe you have forgotten?

___Good Luck as your site will be something really special in just another few months as it hits critical mass.

Thanks for the support. Yes, I forgot about that mileage database feature with all the developments going on here, lately. I'll try and get to that soon. I've been concentrating on utility, the greatest good for the greatest number -- it didn't really hit the top of that priority list.

The increase in traffic is almost completely due to the modifications I made to the URLs a few weeks back. Search engines are accounting to about half of the visitors. Amazing, huh?

Okay, well, there's now a link from the homepage to the Promote page. I think it kind of fits... would be nice to have something on the left, too.

Hi Jason:

___Have you looked over how this Accord site’s header image changes as you click through yet?

___Still waiting for the 24-hour tanks pretty please … and I miss the + sign to bring up an individuals latest tank(s) although I can right click now.

___Finally, just 8 more to go

___Good Luck

lol, Wayne. Hold your horses. The image thing is simple but I haven't had the time to consider it, yet. The latest updated cars is going to be a little harder to do than I expected because the current update check isn't fullproof. Only the one on the index page actually logs what's been updated accurately. The database doesn't have buttons anymore because it was preventing search engines from crawling the pages. Get FireFox and you can just right-click
