Perhaps it's time to specify a forum specifically for tax questions. There are already many threads that contain good information regarding the credits, etc. Maybe putting them all in one forum would be a good way to organize the many questions already presented as well as the many to come. Just an idea...
It might be equally effective to write a paper that collects the tax information and put that with the documents. In particular, some sort of table that shows the AMT risks vs. credit.
Perhaps the two existing threads in "General forum" might move to "Government and taxes?" It isn't something I lie awake worrying about, just a suggestion.
