Default 2006 Lexus Rx 400 h, what do you think?

I have recently looked up some information on the Lexus RX 400 h and it looks like a pretty nice vehicle. Any comments?

Hi Lucky25:

___This is one that you really have to be careful with … Although it costs ~ $10K more then the base RX330, it does come w/ ~ $5K worth of upgrades. If you find those upgrades to be worth it, good. I do not see it. In terms of the powertrain, another tough call. The RHMDB is showing a 25 mpg overall avg. for the AWD based RXh w/ a 29 combined EPA rating. The non-hybrid RX330 itself is more along the lines of 18 – 19 by some of the past discussions I have read on it. You can do the math from there although the RXh is 1 more notch cleaner then the RX (SULEV-II vs. ULEV-II).

___Good Luck

Was not aware - thanks for the info - What about buying one of these vehicles on-line? Can it be done? I am thinking about getting a cheaper rate on buying one. Through eBay or Uniqueauction.com. What do you think about that? I mean why pay full price for such an expensive vehicle when you can get at a better rate? Or do you think it is safer to go with a company?

Actually, looking for a used one might be a good idea.

I am kinda superstitous about buying used cars - Only for the fact that it the car was in an acident previous to me and I di not know abut or kknew about it , it would make me feel uneasy - Therefore I have decided to try this alternate site to eBay - uniqueauction.com they are auctioning off a new Lexus for under $1000!
