I've had my HiHy Ltd for 6 weeks/1300 miles. I decided to finally check my tire pressures. Both my left side tires were at 36 psi. Then when I checked my right sides, I was shocked to see them at 50 psi. I thought my digital gauge was broken, so I used the pressure gauge on my inflator, and it read the same pressure.

Both right side tires were exactly the same according to my digital gauge, 50.0 psi. Mind you the recommended pressure is 32 psi, and the max is 35 psi. I got my HiHy new from the dealer, and haven't had any maintenance done, so the high tire pressures must have existed when I took delivery.

I'm glad they didn't blow out already, and I did contact the dealer to let them know, in case I have tire problems in the future.

OK, am I the only person here thinking "Hmmm, Could I get away with 50 psi???"

I sincerely doubt you were at any risk of blowout at 50psi. Generally speaking, blowouts occur from excessive sidewall flex and heating because of low pressure. I'll bet the handling was a little funky, though.

Yeah, how high can we go? I have mine at the factory default, which I think is 36-37 PSI (which is what the max wall pressure states on the tire). However, I wonder what other folks have for theirs. I've seen some discussion of this on the FEH threads, but not much on the HiHy...

Nearly the exact same thing happened to me. I thought the batteries were going bad in the digital tire gage - but the old analog gage showed the same pressure. I lowered the pressure to the max sidewall recommended pressure
(35psi) - I wonder if this is a dealer gimick to demo the vehicles and show "inflated" mpg to potential buyers - then the prep-boys forgot to lower the tire pressure on delivery.
