Default Multi Functional Display on non-limited

I have a non-limited non-NAV base HiHy. I have seen pictures and read where some non-limited HiHy are able to display the average MPG ( not the current MPG) on the MFD ( Multi functional Display) and others can't, such as mine. I have checked with my local service manager and he doesn't have a clue how to enable this feature. Is there anyone who has seen or had this feature added and how was it done?

I have the non-limited 2x4. The average works fine with mine. Toggle it until you see the average mpg. If you do not have it. toyota should fix it.

There is a thread on this at http://www.hihychat.com/forums/index...t=ST&f=4&t=255.

It appears that it is probably related to when your specific vehicle was manufactured. No one (as yet) has figured out how to enable it if it was delivered without the average MPG readout. I would think that a software update would do it, but Toyota would have to be convinced that there is sufficient need to warrant doing the work.

Good luck, and let us know if anyone has any success.
