Default oil service message reset

My daughter has a HiHy. She got the oil changed at a quick change place, but they didn't have a clue on how to reset the oil service message. Couldn't seem to find it in the owner's manual, and couldn't find a thread on it. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I did a quick search on the internet and found this. Hope it helps!

"For the 2008 Toyota Highlander (gasoline or hybrid) with the info display: With engine or hybrid system on, press trip reset button until Trip A is displayed. Turn engine off. Press and HOLD trip button and restart the engine. Info display will display "Resetting". Oil service message should reset."

Thanks, Mpress. This did something, but didn't reset the maintenance reminder. I think they must have changed something from '06 to '08. Really appreciate the info, though - it put me on the right track. I'll keep digging....

Someone posted this on Yahoo Answers, and it worked!!

TURN THE CAR ON AND MAKE SURE THAT THE MILES READS ON ODOMETER, NOT ON TRIP A OR B. TURN THE CAR OFF THEN HOLD DOWN THE ODOMETER BUTTON AND TURN THE CAR ON. RELEASE THE ODOMETER BUTTON AFTER LIKE 3 SECS. AND THEN THE GAUGE SHOULD START TO COUNT DOWN. THEN IT WILL BE CLEARED
