Default Scangauge ll in my HyHi

It has lots of gauge options but I want to see the current ave mpg since it resets evreytime you drive and provides lots of opportunity to fine tune your driving for best fuel economy.

I just got my Scangauge II on Saturday. Before, I was averaging 27 MPG in my 2000 honda accord 4 cyl. Now i'm averaging 31 mpg. However, I thought the MPG under the trip menu only resests if you fillup the tank. I must of misread that somewhere in the manual. My favorite feature is the "Distance to Empty". I'm like Kramer in that one episode of Seinfeld, I like to see how far I can go with the gas light on lol.

To access current average MPG,
press "TRIP"
then cycle lower button until you see "CURRENT",
then cycle the upper button until you see "_____ MPG".

Then you're set to go. It will reset everytime you turn on the key so you can compare the average MPG whenever you drive.

Careful not to run your tank dry. Most fuel pumps are lubricated by the liquid medium that it is pumping (in this case, gasoline). There have been reports of pump failures and even fire due to running dry.

Actually it doesn't reset "every" time you turn off the key... I think the key has to be off for at least 5 mins or so before it resets.
