Does anyone have any info on the 2008 Escape redesign. The only thing I have heard is that 2007 model year will be a short run...as they introduce the 2008 early.
However...I saw these pictures of the Equator concept at the Tokyo auto show. Looks like the redesigned Escape to me.

In fact, the Equator is essentially a newer "lower slung" body on the Escape frame.

Ford talks about it being " a glimpse of the future for Ford compact SUVs".
I wonder how long before we get the official word....

Before a concept car shown at the Tokyo Auto show becomes an official Ford vehicle? I wouldn't hold my breath. Outside of production concepts, it's a small number of concepts that ever make it on the road, and I suspect that this won't be one of them.

If it is indeed the '08, it doesn't look too bad, I guess I'm used to the current design.
