Default Article Request: Hybrid Myths

Would anyone be able to write an article for the Learn section about hybrid myths? I'm constantly having conversations with friends about hybrid technology and the misinformation they're spewing at me is starting to drive me nuts. Most don't realize that I have this site. And, if they know about it, they don't realize the extent of my knowledge -- in a completely objective, non-cocky way

Specific suggested myths:
Hybrids must be plugged in
Hybrids are slow
All hybrids are the same
Manufaturers like Mercedes aren't investing in hybrid technology because it doesn't have potential

.

Thanks. I made a few changes and put more emphasis on performance, but otherwise it's yours. *published*

Hybrids don't get much better mpg, after all
Hybrids are too expensive
The battery is expensive/short-lived etc
Hybrids are dangerous. Emergency techs are afraid of them
All hybrids are the same (just ask GM)
You will never recoup your money
Why bother ? Hydrogen cars are just around the corner.

This one has already been published here: http://www.greenhybrid.com/learn/art...nceptions.html You can write your own as well, if you like!

This is a two -year-old thread, but I was just searching to see if this was already posted. Perhaps not. An article on hybrid myths, covering many of these points, was linked to from the front page of Yahoo! today.
