ABC2 in Baltimore is interested in doing a TV segment on hypermilers in a few weeks. They’re looking for hypermilers in the Baltimore/DC area that they can visit and interview on camera. There’s no preparation or prior TV experience needed – they just want to hear about what life is like as a hypermiler and why you choose to drive a hybrid.

Baltimore is my homebase. I have sent an email to Joe and would be proud to share my driving style with fellow Marylanders.

It would be a hoot to have a camera crew join me on my 45 mile commute into work one day.

Update: ABC News 2 in Baltimore/DC area is scheduled to broadcast a story about Hypermiling on July 5, 2007 on the 11PM news. They interviewed a Ford Hybrid Escape Owner and this Saturn Hybrid Vue Owner. Not sure what will make it into the story but it should be interesting.

The ABC 2 crew rode with me yesterday. Unfortunately, traffic on the DC Beltway was moving quite a bit faster than I like...

I thought they said the feature would air on 11 July.

Our PR people been dealing with the ABC2 reporter and I've forwarded them the link to this thread. They'll get in touch w/the reporter and get an exact air date for us.
