Yeah I agree with you but is it not interesting what one of the (Experts) has to say? Then the consumers that might be considering a purchase of the Hybrid vehicle says oh "NO" I just read an article and it said. That's why I think the experts need to think before they print or run their mouths about some things that they truly do not know all the facts about.

Yeah, right - get a hybrid and drive 15 miles per hour over the posted limit, then whine when they get disappointing fuel economy. Yeah, if I eat out daily but take Corislim, I'll lose weight...hmmm.

If the writer was interested in being factual, he might have asked GreenHybrid how credible the EPA is vs real life driving and how much driving habits factor in driving hybrids.

They also failed to mention that the EPA numbers for non-hybrids are (percent-wise) just as misleading, but people don't know because there's no MPG meter to show them. When you take that into consideration, then the advantage of the hybrid is evident again, but if you just take EPA for non-hybrids and then compare that to "real world" numbers for hybrids you'll be dissappointed, and misinformed.

It's typical garbage journalism that gets the big 'ol corporate rubber stamp of approval. FUD - Fear Uncertainty and Distrust.

I just emailed Ms Fix (thecarcoach@laurenfix.com) and expressed my disagreement with her article and presenting some solid details, where I felt she was in error. I would encourage anyone else who feels the same to also email her. A well written (not ranting or using foul language) letter with details is very acceptable.

I'm starting to get tired of writing to these "jounalists" about how grossly inaccurate their articles are. Has everyone just stopped doing research? Or is one source good enough nowadays?

Apparently, they GOOGLE "hybrid"and repeat what other "reporters" have said.

It's annoying and hurtful to the hybrid movement.
