Default Green Car Congress Interview

There is an online interview concerning hybrids and other interesting
subjects:

Subject: Green Car Congress's Millikin interview by Mother Jones News

Quote:
"the plug-in hybrid makes a ton of sense" -- halfway through this

Excellent article. At first glance, I have to agree with the majority of points that are made. I especially like the idea of the government creating a long-term educational initiative to make people, young and old, more energy-conscious. We as consumers can vote with our wallets when we go to the car dealerships and buy hybrids or gas-sipping cars. But a big educational push from the Feds could really bring the overall concept of why fuel conservation is important into the public consciousness. I also dig his ideas for creating tax credits or incentives to auto makers to produce plug-in hybrids. Maybe American car companies wouldn't be so timid when it comes to hybrids if they knew they wouldn't risk going completely in the hole if hybrids didn't work out from a business sense (though I doubt that would be an issue, but it would still ease their collective minds).

The world would b a better place if everyone drove a hybrid, but its not likely to happen for another 5 years.
