Hybrid car rebates going, almost gone, in Pa. for fiscal year
Demand for Pennsylvania's hybrid-electric vehicle rebates will soon outpace funding, the Department of Environment Protection announced Thursday.
To date, more than $1.3 million in rebates has been awarded from the $1.5 million allotted for the 2005-06 fiscal year. The state expects to run out of funding in April. An additional $1 million will become available at the beginning of the fiscal year, July 1.
