Interesting comment from the fleet manager- smaller engine...less power (than a Crown Vic normally used)...easier acceleration...less wear/tear and fewer accidents!

I've seen a few of the Escapes running around, but haven't ridden in one.

Honestly, given our pot holes and the way cabbies don't slow down for bad road (even when you tell them you're in no hurry), I'd think the Escapes would do better than the Crown Vics, which are constantly bottoming out.
