I was looking for a survey at autobytel.com (didn't find it) and though I'd try looking at hybrids. Everything was pretty normal as I was looking at a Camry Hybrid and decided to use "Compare Vehicles" -> "View Competitors" and was surprised to see only non-hybrids in the comparison.

I repeated the same experiment with a Honda Accord Hybrid, Prius and Highlander hybrids and no other hybrids were in the comparison lists. So far, the only hybrid to show up in any list of competitors was a Mercury Mariner Hybrid for the Ford Escape Hybrid.

BTW, it is interesting to see what Autobytel considers competitors for hybrids. I was surprised to see a non-hybrid, Toyota Avalon listed as an alternative to the Honda Accord Hybrid.
