i do some driving on unpaved forest service roads, various degrees of washboard, some ruts, etc. usually gravel not just dirt and nothing that really requires 4wd.

i'm wondering how the prius and HCH II tend to do in such driving situations? do they have lower than normal ground clearance to enhance aerodynamics, and does this become problematic on gravel roads?

i'm currently driving a subaru which does fine. i've had a couple of different RWD sedans out on these roads with no problems. exemplary ride was from a land rover that i was in once -- painted green, but not green at all.
