In 05 I bought a 05 Accord and a 06 Civic. I did not buy a HCHII because of no 5MT and no rear disc breaks. I didnt buy a Prirus cause i'll never walk on a Toyota lot again in my life. I didnt buy a HAH because I see it as a very bad FE auto. Almost bought a TL over HAH. HAH needs to be a I4.

wait 6 months for the Camry, and get her with all the trimmings. It'll be what Honda should have done with the Accord.

I voted for a 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid a couple of months ago by buying one. I have nothing against other hybrids, but it meets my needs the best.

I was driving an '02 TL for a short period of time, then was going to buy the '05 TL, but finally settled on the '05 HAH. If you're looking for a comparable car to the TL, the HAH will fit the bill. They're nearly identical in every way ('05 TL and '05 HAH). If you like the acceleration of your TL, you'll love the HAH. It can out accelerate the '99 TL. Plus, I just went on a 4K mile road trip and only used about 100 gallons of 'regular' fuel. The '99 TL would probably use about 60% more fuel than that, on top of using premium.

If you're looking for something less sporty than the TL, the TCH will do the trick. It gets better mileage than the HAH, but at the cost of power. If you don't mind having a less powerful car than your TL, the TCH has great FE with a lower price tag than the HAH.

After hearing all the comments, sounds like it's a close call between:

Honda Accord 4cyl w/navi
Honda Accord Hybrid w/navi
Toyota Camry hybrid w/navi

The local Honda dealers are giving discounts when they have a HAH on their lots, that may sway us in that direction.

It will be weighed heavily on the dealer and the treatment we get.

Thanks,

Don,

I take it that this New Arrival is in Addition to the 2005 Honda Insight. Right?

Yep, this would be a replacement for my wife's car.

I'm holding on to the Insight!

Hi Don,

If you would like to here from me someone that has driven all the Honda Hybrids.

Take the HAH and you can purchase them right now from any dealer.

I have driven them many-many times and I can tell you the HAH is a Terrific Vehicle. It has all the toys when you get the one with Nav.

The FE in the City is not Great but on the Hwy. it is very Strong.

The car is just wonderful to drive and Very-Very Comfortable as well as FAST if one needs to PASS in an Emergency.

Good-Hunting, Don and like I said here the HAH is a Great Choice (IMHO).

Regards,

Terry

BTW, Did I mention that I Really Like the HAH?

Normally I do not like Toyota vehicles because of their tendency to have many styles with different package options that make your head spin (just what the dealer wanted). But after having the TCH for 5 days in the base model I think it is a wonderful car. I do a lot of in town miles and the FE is great. It is comfortable and keeps me just at around the speed limit. NAV or leather option might make the car all that your wife needs.
