0W-20 and 0W-30 oil at Walmart
The other night I was looking around at the full synthetic oils in the Walmart Automotive section.. I saw some new Mobile 1 quart containers that were not there a week ago. One was 0W-20 oil like our cars use. The other was 0W-30.
The 0W-20 says its for newer engines, including Hybrids.
I saw some 0W-20 with gray caps. Then another row of 0W-20 containers had green caps. I think I bought the gray capped oil. The label did say it was for Hybrids. I bought 5 quarts at about $5.97 each. Could be if I had waited they may have it in the 5 quart container that would save some money.
I hope they carry it from now on. It's easy to buy the oil there rather than driving across town to the dealer. Next time i'm at the dealer I will pick up about 4 toyota oil filters.
Update: I looked again last night and they had the 5 qt. containers of 0W-30 at $21.95. Could be they start stocking the 5 qt. size of 0W-20.

Re: 0W-20 and 0W-30 oil at Walmart
I just bought four quarts of the Mobil 1 0W-20 at WalMart the other day.
The bottles I bought had the green caps. It was the only Mobil 1 0W-20 they had. My WalMart here hasn't been stocking the 0W-20 so I jumped on it. I assume it's the same oil as in in the bottles with the gray caps.(although it doesn't mention "hybrid" any where on the container) I need to compare Mobil part numbers to see if the oil in the green cap bottles is the same as the oil in the gray cap bottles.

Is the only reason to use 0-20W (or 0-30W) vs the 5-20W recommended in the manual due to cold weather?
And far as synth vs. dino oil, does that matter? Why would a hybrid ICE be different?

JK....
There was a MASSIVE thread on the oil subject (and at least one poll). To super summarize, there was no winner. Some like one verse the other (both type and weight). In a nutshell, the thiner oil will provide better coverage during cold starts and starting in general. I guess use whichever you feel like using. I use 0-20w in southern NY.
5W-20 or 0W-20???
What grade of oil do you use?
many more....
Do a search for "synthetic, oil".
