Default 2014 vs 2013

My local dealer has a 2013 XL model on the lot still. I can't find any meaningful upgrades between 2013 and 2014. If the dealer will give me a discount is there any reason the 14 model is any better?

Toyota apparently made some front crash structure changes that have improved performance enough in the small-overlap test to get back the coveted 'Recommended ' and 'acceptable ratings from CR and IIHS. The change is supposedly in all Camry manufactured after 11/1/13. IDK how much of a difference that will make in the long run, but unless there is a dramatic price difference, I'd hold out for the vehicle manufactured after 11/1 just for the peace of mind.

The most significant difference in the 2014.5 is the improvements made to meet the low offset crash test. For this reason, Consumer Reports has put a Not Recommended label on the models made before the 2014.5 version, and that likely affects the sale/resale value.
