Well today I picked up my TCH for $27,500.00 w/Nav & Leather. I stuck to my guns and told the sales person I could get it at another dealer for that price. He told me to come down and he would do the deal today. So I did. Yesterday I purchased a HCH for $22,578 and boy to my wife and I feel green. I figured my gas bill will reduct by over $450.00 per month. Last month I paid $780.00 for gas alone on our Chrysler Aspen and 300. Now we should only pay about $330.00 this month.

Ken, congratulations on the two new Hybrids! Just a quick question, what did you do with the Chryslers? You must have taken quite a loss on them. I can't imagine how long it would take to recoup the cost of trading in such recent year vehicles so soon. With that said, the main reason most of us have bought Hybrids is not totaly economic, but you mention that prominently in your post.

Welcome to TCH ownership and I know you will love the technologically advanced automoble as much as the rest of us do!

I would say 28,500 is a good price IMPO.
Try fleet sales. They are generally $1000-3000+ from what a floor salesman will offer.

My total loss on both cars was about 3k. I will save that within the first year just based on gas and I figure it will take about another 10-12 months to save the difference on the gas car vs hybrid car.

Also looking in the Phoenix area. Just wondering if you did any financing. Thinking of putting 12 down and financing the rest. If you financed what rates were available?

BTW congrats on your purchase.

Just purchased a new fully loaded Camry hybrid for $28,703. Sticker on this car was $31,802. I would say you are getting a good deal.
