Talking 44 mpg on the way home from the dealer

Wound up buying my car about 75 miles away from home (I live in a suburb of the Twin Cities in MN) and on the maiden voyage home I got just over 44 mpg! This was cruising at ~58-60mph locked in on cruise control, ECO mode with the AC going. I was able to go through a fairly decent sized town at the posted speed of 40mph in e-mode.

If this is typical I'm going to really like this car!

Scott

Ah, you're going to really like it anyway, trust me. But congrats on the purchase, and yeah it's pretty sweet seeing numbers like that right out of the gate. Just be prepared for the fact it varies a lot by conditions, so short trips will drop your FE significantly (like running around for a bunch of errands), and when winter comes it'll show. I'm still trying to work off last winter's low mileage tanks!

But just can't beat seeing those 40+ numbers in such a nice car!
