My best tank so far, has been 609 miles, with a fill up of 14.5 gallons. (42.0mpg) Seems like I always fill in the 14 gallon range! So, if I had maintained the same FE, I could have gone another 84 miles (2 gallons) and filled with 16.5. 609+84=693...close to 700..... But, too close to empty tank for my comfort. I would love to join the 700 mile club. Maybe in the Fall?

Funny thing. You say "...now that the weather has warmed up and our FE is increasing..." Well..here in Tucson, on my last tank full, I had the worst mileage since my purchase last July, with the warm (read HOT!) weather we have had, over 103 degrees for the past several weeks. If there was ever any doubt that the A/C effects mileage on the TCH, I am now a believer that it does. My last tank was "only" 36.4mpg, while I had been averaging 39-40 consistantly, with the same type of driving. Not complaining, mind you, as the wifes V6 Highlander is getting 19mpg.
Anybody think "hot fuel" plays a role in the decrease in MPG in the hottest part of summer? "Hot fuel" means that you're getting less energy than you're paying for. See http://www.topix.net/content/kri/327...18943553781422 or Google it yourself.

I had them all tinted, the front ones the lightest shade available almost a year ago. I got a $54 ticket last week. Aparently in NJ it is not legal and the shop that installed it neglected to tell me. I had it removed the next day, no charge of course.

I am almost about to become a member of this elite club. Current tank mileage = 655 mile. Current tank FE based on dash is 45.5 mpg. I have a 90 mile trip tomorrow. I hope to hit the 700 mark after work and I'll fill up on the way back home. I'll take pix with my cam phone.

Hooray!!!!

Hey Jbolt!
If you really want to cool off come to Pacifica! I walked along the ocean tonight and was glad for the sweater I had brought JIC. Right now it is 59 degrees out! But you would still be getting around 36mpg like me because of our wonderful hills....

We were in Palo Alto yesterday and it was in low 90s there. Might not sound like much to you AZers, but I was really glad that I had found a shady spot to park and that the TCH's AC works quickly!

Alas, I won't be joining the 700 mile tank club on this tank. Maybe the next one!

The closest I have gotten was 688 miles. I was getting a bit nervous, and so i filled up. Then I was rather upset it only took 16.4 gallons to fill it up. I had another 30 miels till empty, but better safe than sorry.

One day I will get the 700 mile tank, but for now with our hot and rainy waether here in Houston, I will just have to wait.

I'm at work right now with 699.1 miles. I'll fill up after work and should be around 705miles at the gas station. Current FE is 45.4 mpg. I currently have over 23000 miles since Sept 13,2006. I've driven close to trucks several times, had several chips, stones and debri hit my windshield without causing any damage, but for the first time today, I heard a loud bang on my windshield out of nowhere. No trucks nearby, no cars nearby...this is absurd.
I have a chip on my windshield and will have to get it replaced. I'm guessing the TCH windshield has a vulnerable spot towards the center.
