It's hard for me to give a general number, but it is the best new car I've ever owned by far: no warranty issues, no defects, no squeaks (except for the center console which was my fault for ripping it out...fixed it with felt dots) smoothest ride, best mileage, most comfortable...the list goes on and on. There are a couple of petty design issues I suspect Toyota will change: folding mirrors, reading lights that go out after a period of time, Eco mode switch in a better place...little things like that, but these are minor compared to the long list of design complaints and warranty issues of my other new cars. I think I had my Honda Odessey in for warranty work at least a dozen times, and sometimes for wierd things you wouldn't expect from Honda. Here's a relative 'score' of my cars which I believe helps put it in perspective:

1991 Nissan Pick-up: 7.5
1995 Dodge Neon (it was a new model, so maybe not so bad): 8.0
2000 Honda Odessey: 6.0 (very surprising)
2007 TCH: 9.5

Judging by my buying patterns, I suspect I'll replace the Odessey with a 2011 Totota Sienna hybrid...I hope.

The 2007 TCH is the best sedan I have ever owned and before was my ex-new 1993 qnd 1995 Camrys. I also own a loaded 2006 Toyota Sienna and it is the best minivan I have ever owned (traded a new pathetic full of issues, problematic 2005 Odyssey and will never deal with HONDAs again...)

I keep getting over 40MPG having 32psi cold tire pressure, hey what more can you ask...
The 2007 TCH is truly an awesome vehicle.

I traded a Volvo 2004 S60R for the TCH. The TCH isn't as fast by along shot, however the ride is certainly a lot better. The milage in the city is nearly triple. I'm going to use this car for long trips. I have no doubts that gas will be more difficult to get and more expensive in the future.

I give my TCH a 9.5

It's WHICH Joe... Witch is a bad lady that rides a broom!

I'll give my TCH a 9 so far. Ask me after it's a few years old...

Well, it's hard to beat my 1997 subaru outback - but it's 10 year old technology. The TCH has lots of bells and whistles - even the base model, and the stereo is to die for. And the power. But the subie was more comfortable to drive, and had greater visibility. The TCH seems to have a huge blind spot for me, and it's a bit disconcerting.

I love the fact that I'm not going to the gas station as often, and that I have power when I need it, and am saving gas to boot. I give the TCH the edge, but I sure loved my subie.

The TCH is the best car I've owned, I'd give it a 9.5. Comfort, ample power, quiet, silky smooth acceleration, great stereo and great gas mileage. Got to love 700 miles per tank.

Number two would be my '75 Peugeot Diesel 504 sedan, I'd give it a 9. I have yet to drive another car that handled rough roads, snow and ice so well. Road and Track said: "We've never driven a car that was affected less by bumps, ditches, ridges or ruts even when being driven hard" You can totally ignore speed bumps. Very comfortable, great mileage (35 city, 36 highway) and fantastic brakes. Four wheel disc brakes, independent suspension, rack and pinion steering, 10 inches of ground clearance! It really could have used a bit more power.

The third best was my '83 Honda Accord LX. Highway trips often yielded 42 to 43 mpg. City was about 30. Very comfortable, fun to drive (55mph at redline in 2nd, 85mph in 3rd). I miss that car!

I give the TCH a 9 because there should be some things standard on it like lights on the vanity mirrors, Auto up driverside window atleast. I also think the paint is thin and the interior plastic seams do not match up. The car overall is GREAT!

Past cars to compare.
2001 Toyota Highlander 8 (still own)
2002 Acura TL 8
2000 Honda CR-V 7
2001 Prelude 6 (Engine issues)
1997 Accord EX 6.8
1997 Plymouth Breeze 2 Yea I said 2, Chrysler SUCKS!!
1994 Honda Accord LX 7.5
1995 Honda Civic LX 7
1989 Dodge Shadow 3

These are all the cars me and my wife have owned.
