Broken Driver Heated Side Mirror HELP!
okay, so I was defrosting the rear windows and after 2 minutes, I noticed this big crack on my driver side mirror. I touched it and it was really hot. I live in the coast so it was like 54 degrees outside but still is this a factory defect that they didn't think of? Is there an option to turn it off if you are defrosting the rear window?
So now my other problem is, will this be covered with the warranty since I was using the heated defrosting? I also bought the extended warranty.
Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Broken Driver Heated Side Mirror HELP!
Why wouldn't it be covered under warranty? You were defrosting your windows and mirrors. Just because it's summer doesn't mean it isn't foggy/damp at times. Take her in and get her repaired!

Yeah, where I live everyday is foggy. Thanks for the encouragement. I was still wondering if there's an option whether you can turn off the heated side mirrors when your defrosting the rear window.
Thanks!

No, the heated mirrors are automatic. Just sounds like a defect to me so I would just get it fixed and not be too concerned. I've had automatic heated mirrors on my Sienna for 3 years now without any issue.

The mirror cracked? I'm sure that'll be covered by the warranty, but you might ask if the 7 years of bad luck are covered as well (it's probably concidered incidental and won't be covered. If this is the case, I'd advise you watch out for black cats.)

I bet that's only a problem if your music is playing backwards in the car.
Too funny.
