Default A/C system generate H2O puddles

We've been pretty hot here in Los Angeles and have I noticed two puddles of clear liquid (seems like water - clear, low viscosity) after a nice hot drive with the A/C system on.

A small puddle forms from under the front engine compartment and a rather larger puddle (almost 12 inches round) almost directly below the HV battery in the trunk.

Seems like a lot of condensed water for a low humidity region? What's been your experience?

Default Re: A/C system generate H2O puddles

I live in Gilroy, which is drier than LA. I get "large" condensation puddles after I use the A/C. That's just the way the TCH condensor works (my CaddySTS used to do the same), I wouldn't worry about it unless you find yourself having A/C problems.

Few people know this, but the real reason it's called a hybrid is that you can get water from either end. It's normal!
