Cold Weather - Clunking Sun Roof?
Not that I use my sun roof much in the Colorado Winter - but I was wondering if anyone in the colder climates have experience a bang or clunking sound when you open your sun roof - I am hoping this is a cold day issue - but haven't had anything over 40 in weeks to see....
When I open my sun roof (retract - not tilt up) - it appears to catch on the back middle part of the roof as it just goes down and then bangs but continues to open... Just as it lowers the rubber moulding appears to catch....

Re: Cold Weather - Clunking Sun Roof?
Mine has done the same after opening it up when it's sat for a few days. I believe it to be a seal that gives/pops/breaks when opened. I would think that sitting with a weathertight seal (for moisture, etc) that the metal and rubber expands and contracts day after day.
Now, unless it does it EVERY time you open it - my thoguht is just a seal breaking.

Re: Cold Weather - Clunking Sun Roof?
I had this problem in the fall - my dealer fixed the problem as it was misaligned ; made a loud clunk when it opened. It was still warm out when it started, and had been ok prior to that time! Cold and snowing in Michigan so have not tried it in a while. Fred
