New Item: Canadian Tax Rebates/Credits

Canada offers currently a $1500 tax rebate on the TCH (2007 and 2008 model years). http://www.tc.gc.ca/programs/environ...rt/ecoauto.htm

The province of Ontario offers an additional $2000 rebate. http://www.rev.gov.on.ca/english/guides/rst/702.html

Not sure about other provinces.

This is sort of covered under battery questions but it might help to have a main FAQ about it.

Are there any customizable features (seatbelt warning, lighting delays, etc.)?

Yes. There are a number of customizable features ranging from warning tones to heating and air conditioning controls that can be adjusted to your liking by your dealer.

Note: The moon/sunroof features are not available in the TCH.

I just saw a question on this and it has been discussed a few times.
This might fit under the battery section.

What happens if I run out of gas?

If you are pushing for the most miles to a tank or you just forgot to get gas and you ran out, you have about one to two miles (depending on driving habits, conditions, and battery state) before the main hybrid (traction) battery runs out of power. If you are unable to make to a gas station before the hybrid battery dies, you will be stranded and need to visit a Toyota dealership to have the battery charged.

Note: When your gas gauge reaches E and your MFD indicate 0 miles left on the tank, you have about 3 gallons of gas.

Thanks...but the referenced page is a very long, detailed piece.
The look and feel of the FAQ is designed to provide a quick Q&A with a link to more detailed explanations. Could you summarize the page and create a 'bite sized' post? Once done, I'll edit it in.
Thanks!

Under the battery section:

You should NOT try and jump start another car.

I disagree. I asked the dealer about this prior to buying the car, and they said no problem. I have used my TCH several times to jump start my truck, and I have had no problems.

What is the source of your information?

All the info I got was from these forums.
I read it here....somewhere
I profess no expertise and am open to all suggestions.
I am just compiling the FAQ, not providing the answers.
