One local cab driver made the news a few years ago when Toyota apparently approached him to get his Prius back so they could check it out. It had 321k km, 200k miles, and it was still going strong with no repairs. There is a scan of his maintenance bills on the web. He traded for a new one and has over 100k km on it now.
I am hoping that the Camry is as good as the Prius.

I did a commute close to that for a couple years. yes, it puts the miles on, but they are easy highway miles.
It used to be you did a tune-up of cars every 25K/50K/75K miles. Now many cars go 100K before a tune up (and other maintenance.)
I bet you could drive these cars 400, 500K miles with not much issue.

Have you ever had a new car before this one? In the 70s and early 80s most cars (mainly US) had a life span of around 100K miles. Since the Japanese onslaught (Toyota, Honda, etc.) of the mid 80s, cars have been engineered much better the typical, well maintained, car can easily cruise through 100K mark. I think it's safe to say that 200K is like the old 100K mark.
I've posted repeatedly that my 96 Avalon has over 176K miles on it. A few $300-400 repairs every year or two, but the car, for the most part is in excellent condition. Were it not for the body style changes that make cars look ancient, the car could easily pass for a five year old car in terms of feel of the drive.
Cars are built much better than they used to be!

Re: Daily drive?
I have had 1 brand new car before. It was a base model Plymouth Laser. Most of my other vehicles have been 2-3 years old when I got them. The most miles they got up to was 96,000. I've had a Bonneville, Expedition, Explorer, Thunderbird, Laser. Those are all of the vehicles I have ever owned.

Re: Daily drive?
I've had many cars go 200k miles. Two Honda Accords, a 76 and a 78 (both bought used.) Two Fords, a 86 F150 and a 92 Ford Explorer went over 200K.
The 86 F150 amazed me as I bought it new and sold it at 250K miles with the original engine and tranny, still running great despite towing a horse trailer for many years.
I bought the TCH in 2006 for the comfort and MPG as the price of gas made the F150 too costly to commute in. I car pooled for years, helping me save gas and reduce the miles I put on vehicles.
Now I'm down to just the TCH and the FEH. The TCH sees most of the miles as it gets 10 to 15mpg more than the FEH. I drive about 70 miles a day, and am averaging about 18K a year on the TCH and about 7K a year on the FEH.

You got me beat. I commute 95 miles daily, plus a couple of miles while at work, so figure 100 miles/day. Car went into service on Aug 1, 2006 with 8 miles, and I'm at 41k now. I'm banking on the fact that the car will go 250k (10yrs) before any major service is necessary, like replacing the hybrid battery.
