Default Did Toyota fix any of the TSB issues from previous years for '09?

Hi all, I guess the title says it all. Just wondering what tweaks may have been made any of you have heard of, or if power management has improved, the Nav system is smarter or anything like that. I'm glad I stumbled onto this forum, it's a wealth of information. Thanks in advance for the help!

There are quite a few, and not all of the TSBs affect all of the cars in a model year.
Best to enjoy the car. If something bothers you with your 09, call the dealer. The basic car hasn't changed much since the 07, I believe.

To answer the question:

Did Toyota fix any of the TSB issues from previous years for '09?

For the most part yes. In fact, I think most of the TSBs (if not all) were for 07 and 08 models. As Larry mentioned, even within a model year, certain TSBs apply to certain VIN numbers as the problem was fixed.

The basic flow of a TSB is as follows.... (in my understanding)

1. Car is manufactured.
2. Defects are found.
3. Fix is discovered.
4. TSB is issued, production line is change to take the fix into account.
5. People complain about a problem.
6. Dealership looks up a possible TSB.
7. Repair is performed.

I hope all of that answers your question.
