I don't know what province you entered in the request for a price quote but I live in Ottawa, Ontario where the temperature gets down to -25 F on a regualr basis and Toyota.Ca does NOT list the block he....ater as a mandatory option. I know a few people who have the TCH in Canada and none have toe block heater installed. that is not to say it's a bad idea but how and where did it become mandatory? Maybe in The North West territories or some such northern part of Canada but not in Ontario.

There is more to Canada than Ontario.
If you are referring to my post regarding the mandatory block heater. Then I'm afraid this statement "
Not mandatory i any part of Canada that is adjacent to The lower 48 states! Sorry" is wrong.
Take a good look at the PDF file again. On the left hand side of page one it states "Taxes and levies shown are applicable in Alberta" and then check in the section of the quote were they list the Administration Fee, Documentation Charge Freight and Delivery, etc you'll find "
Block Heater -- Mandatory $178.00"
The last time I looked Alberta was adjacent to the lower 48.
I know of two people here in Calgary that have TCH's,a friend and myself and both of us have block heaters, neither one of us asked for one the vehicle came with it installed.
