PRIME-TIME HYBRID: Cleaner Camry to nip at Prius' wheels

I thought that the writer did his homework & was fairly accurate in his asessment of ther Camry & other hybrids.....

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in one pretty
and well-preserved piece. The intention
should be to skid in broadside, thoroughly
used up, worn out and defiantly shouting,
"Wow! What a ride"

My god, they actually made a sensible price comparison too!

The base price for the Camry hybrid is $25,900, putting it $1,200 above the top trim level for a standard four-cylinder Camry but still $1,920 below the top trim level for the V6 Camry.

First time I've seen that in print.

I just take exception to the line:

"The Camry hybrid may be the average man's hybrid"

I'm an above average man

The 12 Oct 2006 article also notes this milestone:

" Toyota Motor Corp. today is to mark the start of production of its Camry hybrid at the company's Georgetown, Ky., plant. "

It will be interesting to compare & note differences.

Wonder if the center console rattles get lost in translation?
