Default Excllent in Display?

Hi,

This is my second post b'cause I am new owner of TCH. I have over 200 KMS on my TCH and I live in cold weather here in Canada. (average temp since I got this car is around 2 degree celcius)

Anyway with some great driving tips found in this forum (thank you all), I have been making some good progress with my driving skills and my First dealer supplied tank is 7.5 L/100 KMS. I still have slightly less than 3/4 gas left.

For last 2 days in almost every trip (ranging from 3 kms to 12 KMS one way) I have been getting "Excllent" display when I turn off my TCH. That means I am doing good with FE for each trip.

Now my question is What is criteria for this "Excellent" display. Is it that I am doing better than my current tank MPG so I am heading in right direction or I am just meeting some thresh hold programmed in TCH's computer. Of course everytime I get "Excllent" I give myself a pat in back for good job done. But now I would like to know How good am I actually doing when I get this Excllent.

Thanks

Page 138 of the owner's manual states that you will get "excellent" at level 3. That's anything better than 6.8L/100. You are doing very well.
I live in Vancouver and averaged 6.3 on the first tank and I am now at 5.8 on the third tank.
By the way I recommend you read the owner's manual. This is not an ordinary car and I have found a lot of features in the car that I wouldn't have known about. I am still reading it.

First Thanks to Kris for Quick response.

Thanks to Philt for your comment and advise. I will read manual one more time. Actually I read the manual before I took the delivery of car. But now that I am driving the car, manual willmake more sense. I am also planning to watch iGuide video on Camry Hybrid on ToyotaGuide.com

Thanks again.
