Extra Warranty in some states?
Guys, I just wanted to know wether this is a rumour or what? I saw a thing on wiki which said Toyota offers 15/150 warranty on the batteries in some states...is that true?

Only in California. See your warranty handbook.

The 15/150 warranty in CA is for "emission control". The battery is warranted for 10/150.

On page 6 of your "Camry Hybrid Owner's Warranty Information" booklet, it states that Calif, Maine, Masss, NH, NJ, NY, RI & Verm are covered as follows: Performance 180 months/150,000 miles, Defect 180 months/150,000 miles & Hybrid Battery 120 months/150,000 miles. Ain't it great? What a warranty!

Again, that's the Emission Control Warranty. The 180 months/150,000 miles coverage doesn't apply to anything else.

According to toyotaownwersonline.com, it states "All Toyotas receive warranty coverage for 3-year/36,000-mile Comprehensive,
5-year/60,000-mile Powertrain and 5-year/unlimited-mileage Corrosion Perforation. And to add peace of mind to those worried about hybrid component reliability, a reassuring
8-year/100,000-mile Hybrid-related Component Coverage is provided. In states that adopt California emission requirements, the Hybrid-related Component Coverage is for
15-years/150,000-miles, with the exception of the battery. The battery is warranted for
10-years/150,000-miles."
On my window sticker it states "hybrid components 8 years/100,000 miles." Not bad, no matter how you look at it.
