Default Finally I got one!!!!

Well I didn't end up getting a new one but close enough. I bought a fully loaded 2007 Metallic Grey with 11209 miles. It was the dealership owners personal demo vehicle. There is more on this vehicle than I was looking for but I love everything so far (Only 65 miles put on by me so far, the drive home from the dealer and a 40 mile commute to work today.) I reset the info on the NAV screen and so far have averaged 38mpg with my highest avg reading 42. I am waiting until I fill up for the first time so that I can start doing the manual calculations as I have read on hear that the vehicle read outs are not entirely accurate.

Well I have a lot more reading to do and who knows what else. I know there are a lot of tips and tricks on here and some mods.

Yes............welcome to the land of hybrids! The TCH being, in my opinion, the best hybrid on the market in the mid size category. Going green has never been so much fun!!

Well I put my second tank in and calculated the MPG by hand. It came out to 36.8mpg.

One thing I found like has been stated before is that the mpg that is calculated by the vehicle is high by as much as 3mpg.

One question I have is how accurate is the estimated distance remaining figure? The car is stating that I am currently at 43mpg but is only stating 480 miles left. I have only driven about 35 miles on this tank so far.

...not very, since it zeroes out when your low fuel light goes on (which means you still have gas in the tank)
