Default Floor mats, where and how

Has anyone bought the carpeted floor mats after they got the car? I talked my husband out of the mats because I thought $200 was too much and I had seen the rubber all weather ones somewhere and thought they would be more practical. I was surprised that the dealer didn't throw them in with the car since they come with them and he was making a ton of money on us with Msrp, but he didn't. Now I am not sure if you have to cut into the carpet to install the clips or what. Any advice for Mrs. Cheapy(me )? Also want to get the colored mudguards and someone posted that you need to drill for the back ones. Do you have to drill for the front? Any experience with good places to buy accessories? Laurie

I found the best prices (after shopping for 2 weeks) at :
http://www.trdparts4u.com

They have two different sides to their website - Replacement Parts and Accessories. Some parts are available on both sides but different prices.

The rubber all weather mats (good ones) come only in brown and black. I got the floor mats on the Replacement Parts side for just under $59 for the set of 4. The Painted to match mud guards (genuine Toyota) are $35 for the front or rear. I got them for the front and rear.

I just placed my order yesterday so I can't speak to their shipping / packing or quality just yet.

I hope this helps!

.

Regards - Randy

Unhappy Re: Floor mats, where and how

For what it's worth, I bought the floor mats with my car, and the Camry Hybrid patches on them fell off within the first week of my getting the car. The dealer says this isn't covered by the warranty, though when I get time I plan to go back and talk to a manager...

I ordered a set of front and a set of rear mud guards (painted Desert Sand) from TRDparts4u at 10 pm on Friday (the 20th). They were shipped out UPS ground from Dallas on the 23rd. Arrived at at my home at near Fredericksburg, VA (Between Richmond, VA and Washington DC) around 5 pm on Thursday (the 26th). Total price: $ 79.36.

My only concern of ordering several items at once from them would be a statement included in their order confirmation e-mail:
Important Note: Most orders are shipped within 1-3 business days from date of placement. Some items of your order may take longer due to avialability, we ship orders whole, so if one part is on backorder, we will wait to ship the entire order, unless otherwise noted. Custom products are sometimes made to order and require additional lead time for delivery. You will be notified by email with a shipping tracking number once your order has shipped out to you.
Bolding and italics added by me.

If you ordered 10 items and 9 were on the shelves, but 1 was back-ordered for 6 weeks, nothing would be sent until that back-ordered item was received by TRDparts4u (a 6 week delay). I didn't see this on their ordering page (though to be honest, I may have over-looked it in the rest of their disclaimer listings).

Overall, very satisfied with their shipment and response to the internet-ordering process.

I'll install at least the front guards today today or tomorrow. I'll look at installing the rear guards. (Some posters say the rear wheels need to be removed and it's too windy, wet and miserable to do that in this weather.)

Only the incompetant would remove the rear wheels to install the flaps. They do not need to come off period.

As promised - I thought I'd let everyone know that I received the orders from Toyota of Dallas (Trdparts4u.com)..

I actually had received everything by last Friday - but read on as to why I waited to report..

They had to back-order the floor-mats but that took about a week. They had a price increase of from $58.20 to $69.00 on the floor mats and they charged my credit card the new price (which I found out by reading the sales slip they enclosed in the box). I inquired about it and they refunded $9.20 to my credit card (credit just showed up about an hour ago).

The parts are all geniune Toyota. The floor mats are very heavy duty all-weather mats (required in Minnesota winters)..
The Splash guards were literally a "perfect" paint match to my Blue Ribbon Blue car. The finish was equally as nice with no light or dark spots, runs or sags..

On the whole I would have to rate the experience a 9 out of 10. They would have gotten a perfect 10 had I not had to ask them to adjust the billing amount..

Other things also purchased were extra floor-mat clips for $1.30 and a bottle of Touch-Up paint for less than $5..

Go for it!

.

I still can't get over the fact that some dealers don't give you the mats when they COME WITH THE CAR. That's just wrong.

I got my all-weather mats at Sam's club for $20, and they are great.

Sams All-Weather (4 piece) $20:

Costco also has floor mats:

Costco plush (4 piece) for $26.99:

Where does it show that the floor mats come with the car?

My sticker does not show floor mats as a factory standard feature. On the contrary, it shows option CF Carpet Mat Set (5 pc), Carpet Floor Mats, Rear Trunk Mat 199.00 as a Gulf States Distributor Installed Option.

I do plan to get the rubber floor mats, as I am in construction and putting muddy shoes and boots on my carpet floor mats just grates on my nerves.
