Default Fold-down rear seat / lap belt advice

I loaded a TV into my TCH with the seat backs down (to protect the leather).

After unloading I returned both rear seat backs to the up and locked position,
I noticed the lap belt connectors had left dimples in the back's leather.

It may smooth out, but next time I plan to be sure the connectors are pushed as far down and flat as possible.

Uh-oh. I found the same thing out months ago, and had meant to post this same advice, but forgot. Sorry!

The good news is... it will smooth out. Next time, you can adjust the buckle to minimize its contact with the leather. Also, it's a good idea to carry a small towel that you can use to wrap the buckle.

I don't have leather in my TCH but do in the Chrysler...I have a couple of towels that I just keep in the car for things like this...and to use with bare legs (wearing shorts) on hot leather during the summer.

Per Steve Villatoro's prediction, the dimples were gone by the end of the day.
I'll be sure to keep the buckles tucked and toweled next time.
