Default fuel consuption

I have a 2007 camry hybrid. I am in toronto, ontario. Im currently at 28,000 km. and im averaging around 700 km to a tank. I never go right to empty, usually fill up at 50 litres. Just wanted to know if thats average.

thanks

That would be 430 miles when you fill up. I fill my tank between 400 and 500 miles. Thats usually when its down to 1/4 tank on the fuel gauge. You did not include your miles per gallon from your readout.

At 17,500 miles you engine is broke-in and should give you good miles per gallon other than the cold weather where you live.

i dont know in miles. However, it reads usually 7 liters per 100 km. And thats when the gas symbol comes on.

It's reasonable, but you could probably do a bit better if you wanted to milk it by being extra diligent. Looking over my records (I'm at 26000km), I typically get about 800km for about the same amount of fuel from spring to fall, for winter it can get to as low as 650km when it's really cold.

After filling up, the range to empty is a quick and easy indicator of your general fuel consumption because it is averaged over a longer period then then "Tank Ave" display which is just the current tank. After fillup, right now mine is showing about 920km range. I expect it will start dropping now that the colder weather is knocking.

If I could rate myself from 1 to 10 (1 being drive the stink out of the car, 5 being casual driving, and 10 being conserving every ml of gasoline), I would rate myself usually 7 or 8 depending on the day.

.

Two climate control systems, one inside and the other at the tailpipe.

Distance: 29169km (75% city - 20 min trips)
FE: 6.77L/100km or 34.7 mpg
Operating Cost: $0.066/km / $0.107/mile
