Default Gas Line Antifreeze

I was wondering what kind of gas line antifreeze is best for the car. Is it okay to even use it? Thanks

Joe,

E10 is 10 % Ethanol so you have about a gallon of it in each tank. Gas line antifreeze is either Methanol (wood alcohol - bad) or Isopropyl alcohol (made chemically but better) so do you really think that a few ounces of another kind of alcohol will make a difference? Save your money.

Unless you suspect your gas station has water in their tanks and does not check it, or you live north of the arctic circle, gas line antifreeze is generally a waste. The alcohol simply keeps any water in the system from freezing.
