Map changes Nav Version 9.1
Found this PDF document while trawling through forums looking for info on the latest navigation update (Version 9.1)
It lists the major map database changes between 2009MY map (Version 8.1) and 2010MY map (Version 9.1), For generation 4 and 5 nav systems.
The 2007-2009 Camry Hybrids are generation 5.

Questions...How does one find the generation info? Are the 2010 TCHs generation 6? If so, then I assume my 2009 Venza is also generation 6, as it looks much different than the NAV in my previous 2007 TCH and current 2009 TCH. Do you, or anyone else, know if I can make a "hybrid" disc (with the the old loading.kwi file) with my gen 6 9.1 map data for my Venza, and allow the multi-touch screen method for override capability?
thanks again!

Re: Map changes Nav Version 9.1
1. hacking does not work and is $$
2. there are update, model/year specific disks, at $170 dealer. it's outdating before it was even finalized.
3. why bother? good gps costs around 100 bucks. even better, Google Navigation updates itself every other day, at no cost, will guide you ANYWHERE, show you pic of your destination, traffic jams, etc, etc - and comes with your Android phone.
seriously...
07 nav sucks so bad, gives me creeps.

Agree. Still, having the NAV and not using it seems like such a waste. I have a portable GPS I use for business travel but dont really want to use it in my car.
Between my smartphone, XM radio unit, and work BBerry my dash looks like the electronics counter at Best Buy. I'd like to reduce the clutter and use the NAV as intended.
