My rattle has gotten much worse. It has a plastic sound, maybe a bit marble like from right front dash, almost seems like the top area. Is this what yours sounded like?

Very strange, i have a marble / rattle also, but different car!!! Kind of sounds like the windshield is not seated properly and rattles. On the passenger side also. I looked around for bolts and nuts and even debris outside the car by the wipers with no luck.

The marble sound occurs when the cold weather starts. It is caused by the dash rubbing against the windshield because of very narrow tolerances. I placed a folded piece of rubber water heater insulation in between the dash and the windshield to stop the noise.

I'll do the same as I just started getting many rattles in the cold weather. Although, after I turn the heat on, they go away.

I described the right front dash rattle to my dealer last week, and he found a TSB that involves pulling the dash out, insulating all the clips with felt, etc., then putting the dash back in. I'm tempted to try putting some insulation in the crack between the dash and windshield before going to more drastic measures, and risk getting even more rattles!

I agree with that one! Let me know how it goes. I may give it a try as well.

I went to Lowe's, got a roll of felt padding, stuffed about 5 inches between the dash and glass, with the sticky side of the felt facing the glass, and so far all is well.

You can't even see the felt in this shot.

Here's what I used.

Forgive me for saying this... but skaruuu that! For 28K... I will make Toyota take the dash out if necessary. We should not have to resort to having a dash stuffed w/ felt on a new car. But I will say, that was a smart fix jay_man!!!
