If you don't have NAV then there's no easy way to get an actual number unless you get a ScanGauge.

Question Re: MPG Fun...

If you have Nav, do you have to re-set your tank mileage figures to get your trip mileage?

pitokhato — The multifunction display in the dash can show you a "staircase" display of your current trip's L/100 km fuel consumption — just press the DISP button until you see it. It's also shown briefly when you switch off. Look in your Owner's Manual for the meaning of the steps. It's shown in 0.2 L/100 km increments only.

The "trouble" with the non-NAV "staircase" version is that -- as we all know -- it only goes up to 41mpg (or whatever that is in CDN terms). That's a bummer, at least for me. Scangauge helps with that anomaly, once calibrated correctly (which can take a few tankfuls).

Just my $.02 worth.

Is there any post here on Scanguage? Where can I buy it and how to install/connect it? I am in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, so it will be hard to find here.

Thanks

pitokhato — Go to scangauge.com. They ship free to Canada. There's also a group purchase under way — search this site.

HybridFan — Correct! It shows only FE worse than 5.8 L/100 km; actually, it covers the range 9.0 to 5.8 L/100 km in 0.2 L/100 km increments. It's not often that one goes below 5.8 on a complete trip, though.
