Default NAV system - "set speed"

I discovered what seems to be a poor design (maybe just a limitation?) in the NAV system. In "set speed" one can set the speed on 3 types of roads..."residential" "main street" and Freeway"..So far, so good. So I was on a little Sunday drive this past weekend, and set the destination, and it routed me on a 2 lane "state road" - very lightly traveled, with a speed limit of 65mph.

Well, the NAV set speed function only allows a max of 55mph on "main streets" which the NAV system designated the state road I was on. The time to destination, or arrival time, was way off. I wonder why Toyota decided to limit the speed on this type of road, and if there is any work around.

I bet there are alot of these type of roads around the country, not "limited access", but still with a 65 miles per hour speed limit.

Not a biggy, just a curiosity.

Still learning how to best use the NAV.
