We have over 200,000 miles on our car and are trying to decide on a new car or whether we should just stick it out with this one. Anyone else have over that mileage and what problems have you had? We are using a lot of oil, but knock on wood, no other major problems. Toyota has some good deals and with a new model for 2015 we are not sure what makes sense. Anyone bought the Accord hybrid?

You might want to hang on to find out more about the 2015 to see what's new about it, maybe better design, improve traction battery, higher gas mileage and more power would be my wishful guess.

From what I have seen so far, the 2015 has mostly body changes (I hate the new front grill) and interior changes, but not much on the powertrain. The dealer told us they have quit making the 2014 TCH (if you can trust the dealer) so if we want a 2014 we have to get one that is out there already. There are some big savings on the 2014 TCH, but not a lot of choice. My husband nixed a new car right now since my son is starting college so wish me luck on driving the 2007 TCH back and forth to college (a four hour drive).

5 years. Honda and Yoda do 5 years bewteen radical changes. Anything in between is cosmetics and rip off. So figure out when was the last model real upgrade, I think, it was 2012, and wait 5 years.

Otherwise, if you simply looking for excuse to tell your SO to buy a new car, you have my permission.

I can see your point, but I am not much for change anyway. If I could get a brand new 2007 TCH I probably would. I never really checked out the 2012, but I don't think I can wait until 2017. LOL

I'd say keep it for now. We are in a similar situation and are in the car over 3 hours every day during the week. We are about to pass 200,000 miles as well. We are currently selling our house and moving, so we do not have to drive as much (finally). I think that after we move and are settled in some time over the next year we will start shopping for new one once our commute has dropped.... Sounds like you may want to do the same, especially since you have had minimal problems with yours. Both of the critical things that can go wrong with this car are fairly inexpensive to fix now and would be much less than buying a new one. IMO....

Now, if you have not been keeping up with maintenance, that is another story.... You may want to dump it ASAP. IE: Inverter coolant changes, engine coolant changes, PSD oil changes, servicing the brakes, etc...

Edit: Oh.... Ours uses about 1 quart between oil changes. It has done this since we have owned it. We change the oil every 7500 miles with 0/20 syn. and Toy. filter. I don't think that is excessive...
