No need for buyer's remorse -- Toyota authorizes a limited number of qualified reigonall located shops to install Toyota-supplied leather as an aftermarket upgrade.
I purchased my TCH just before it arrived at Toyota of Hopkinsville (KY) with the factory-furnished fabric seats and door panel inserts. The dealer helped me make arrangements to have Cole Brothers in Nashville, TN install Toyota Camry leather a few days after I took delivery. I drove it in one morning before 9am and picked it up before 3pm the same day.
The retrofit leather cost a total of $995, including tax.
For comparison to the factory option package, please note that my TCH does
NOT have a power passenger seat or seat heaters.
On the plus side,
1. paying the cost of the leather means monthly loan payments are lower
2. a wide variety of colors are available, not just "ash" or "bisque"
3. the change can be done on the buyer's schedule -- take delivery now instead of waiting for special order vehicle
Of course, I recommend getting the leather ASAP. It not only feels good--it really improves the appearance of the vehicle.
